Hey friend! Welcome back to “Ask an Esti” - a forum where we discuss all things skincare! You’ve seen the buzz around the brand-new Papaya + Vitamin C Ginger Root Lactic Acid Exfoliate + Brighten Superfruit Cleanser, affectionately known as Superfruit Cleanser. It has been almost a decade since Youth To The People released the Superfood Cleanser that earned over 4,000 5-star reviews with one selling every minute in the US. It’s time to do it again! Let’s talk what makes this cleanser different and how to know if it’s the right fit for you.
This 2-in-1 cleanser exfoliates without stripping the skin barrier and takes away the guessing game. You’ve already learned why cleansing is important and how exfoliation promotes cell renewal to help the skin achieve balance and radiance. Having a product that does both elevates your routine to become even more efficient. Superfood Cleanser remains your every day, gentle cleanser to remove SPF, make-up, and the day’s impurities while Superfruit Cleanser is a more targeted treatment cleanser used up to 3x/week to tackle skin concerns while cleansing. Both play a vital role in helping you achieve your skin goals.
The new Superfruit Cleanser is formulated with a potent, yet gentle quadruple-acid complex of salicylic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid, and phytic acid. These acids work by exfoliating and supporting cell renewal to improve dullness and the look of fatigued skin while smoothing skin texture. The standout superfruits of papaya and passionfruit are high-level antioxidants that provide protection from environmental stressors and free radical damage that can lead to signs of aging. Ginger root and Vitamin C are known for their brightening properties that support even tone and radiance, while yerba mate extract and caffeine awaken and revive the look of tired skin. All these ingredients work together to give your skin the pick-me-up it needs throughout the week. I’ve been recommending this cleanser for clients who express concerns for congestion, fine lines, dullness, uneven tone, dark spots, texture, and fatigue.
I recommend using the Superfruit Cleanser up to 3x/week AM or PM to target your skin concerns. Apply one pump to damp skin and massage gently onto the face and neck for 30-60 seconds, avoiding the eye area. This exfoliating cleanser should be used as a complement to your Superfood Cleanser. For example, I recommend using Superfruit Cleanser in the AM before starting your day and being sure to follow-up with a hydrating moisturizer tailored to your skin type, then using Superfood Cleanser in the PM to remove make-up and SPF.
As always, make sure you’re protecting the skin with a broad spectrum SPF30 or higher. Reapply every 2 hours if you’ll be exposed to UV rays through outdoor activity, windows, or driving, regardless of weather (yes, even as summer leaves and ushers in cooler, more gloomy months).
I hope you’ve been enjoying “Ask an Esti”, and you’re continuously leaving understanding the “why” behind the “what”. Join me next time to discuss how to build a routine using the new Superfruit Cleanser, but until then, go out and Radiate New Energy!
