Hey friend! Welcome back to “Ask an Esti” - a forum where we discuss all things skincare! Hopefully by now you’ve already been able to get your hands on a bottle of the NEW Papaya + Vitamin C Ginger Root Lactic Acid Exfoliate + Brighten Superfruit Cleanser, affectionately known as Superfruit Cleanser. If so, you can attest to how beautiful it smells, luxurious it feels, and gentle it lathers on to the skin. Now, I want to share some of my own tips on building a routine with this new cleanser.
First, let’s think about skin concerns and skin goals. These are crucial to building an effective routine that works for you. If you’re someone looking to brighten, smooth, and soften your skin, I recommend giving the Superfruit Cleanser a try. While this cleanser is safe for daily use, I recommend incorporating exfoliating acids into your routine starting 1-2x a week and gradually progressing to 3 or more times, as tolerated. Superfruit Cleanser aids in the skin’s natural cell turnover process by gently exfoliating dead cells from the skin’s surface to reveal more radiance and glow.
Next, I recommend incorporating a serum. The 15% Vitamin C + Caffeine Energy Serum is great for daytime use to provide your skin with antioxidant protection against free radicals. It’s also the go-to serum for targeting dark spots, dullness, and puffiness. If you’re dealing with dryness or dehydration, I recommend incorporating the Triple Peptide + Cactus Oasis Serum in your morning and night routine. This serum is made with 4D hyaluronic acid and a triple peptide complex to keep the skin hydrated throughout the day and night while plumping and smoothing the appearance of fine lines + wrinkles. I recommend adding the Superfood Skin Drip Smooth + Glow Barrier Serum to your morning and night routine if you’re someone with a compromised barrier or simply wanting to maintain the health of your barrier and glow to your skin. It’s a multivitamin for your face that helps hydrate, smooth texture, and even tone. The wonderful thing about these serums is that they can all be used together, or alone, depending on your goals. For application, I recommend starting with the Energy Serum, then Oasis Serum, and finishing with Skin Drip Serum.
Lastly, you cannot forget moisturizer. When you are exfoliating the skin, you want to ensure you’re replenishing with moisture and hydration. Honestly, even when you’re not exfoliating, your skin still needs it. If you’re oily, combo, or combo-oily, I recommend the Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream because it is lightweight, and won’t clog pores. It is formulated with superfood extracts, hyaluronic acid, and glycerin to hydrate the skin and visibly plump the skin for 48-hours without feeling greasy. If you are prone to dryness or sensitivity, I recommend using the Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream. This is a richer, fragrance-free moisturizer formulated with an adaptogenic extract blend and hydration trio of squalane, jojoba, and shea butter to deeply hydrate and soothe the skin without clogging the pores. It provides calming relief to sensitive, fatigued, and dry skin while protecting against environmental stressors. The Polypeptide-121 Future Cream is my recommended go-to moisturizer for those looking to target concerns for aging. The combination of peptides, ceramides, and plant proteins help to visibly firm the skin and reduce the look of fine lines + wrinkles while strengthening the skin barrier. This lightweight, dewy cream applies evenly and smoothly without feeling sticky, tacky, or clogging the pores. All these moisturizers can be used morning and night.
As always, make sure you’re protecting the skin with a broad spectrum SPF30 or higher. Reapply every 2 hours if you’ll be exposed to UV rays through outdoor activity, windows, or driving, regardless of weather (yes, even as summer leaves and ushers in cooler, more gloomy months).
I hope you’ve been enjoying “Ask an Esti”, and you’re continuously leaving understanding the “why” behind the “what”. Join me next time to discuss how to maintain your glow through these cooler fall and winter months, but until then, go out and Radiate New Energy!
