Responsible Formulas
We formulate all of our products in California, sourcing our ingredients from local suppliers when possible. Our formulas are vegan, cruelty-free, and won’t cause harm to our oceans once rinsed off your face.
Glass Matters
We're reducing the quantity of plastic waste created by the beauty industry by always choosing glass for our bottles and jars. Recently, we have chosen to partner with Heinz on our newest launches. Heinz is a glass manufacturer from Germany who has been committed to sustainable business practices since 1622.
FSC-Certified Boxes
We choose post-consumer materials whenever possible and are proud to use recyclable paper from our manufacturing partner, Neenah, an FSC-certified mill in Wisconsin. This practice helps reduce landfill dependency and deforestation rates. Our FSC-certified printing press, Calitho, is based in Concord, California, continuing our commitment to manufacture locally and use paper from responsible sources.
Our Pledge For a Greener Future
PRODUCT MANUFACTURING & PACKAGING
We will continue to create 100% vegan formulas made in California, consciously source our ingredients, and verify that our supply chains don’t negatively impact the environment. We are determined to make our packaging fully recyclable - we have successfully moved our lids into PCR material, and transitioning future productions to using only PCR lids.
EMISSIONS
We are determined to achieve net zero carbon emissions and to do so through broad energy reductions as well as offsets. We commit to a 25% energy reduction across all operations by 2025, so that we are not just part of the solution, but we contribute less to the warming of the planet from the start.
TO THE PLANET FUND
By 2024, our To The Planet Fund will have donated $1 million to nonprofit organizations in the climate space. Our organizational partners center the girls, women, and communities of color that are most burdened by climate related catastrophes, work to safeguard our wild spaces and biological diversity, and innovate solutions to climate breakdown.
