I’m Khalid Bowens, a Licensed Esthetician in Houston, Texas. Some of you may have met me through your virtual Skin Session, and others may have received a response from me via email. Well, we’ve created “Ask the Esti” as an opportunity to expand and share even more skincare knowledge with you, our amazing YTTP community, because we recognize that 15 minutes isn’t always enough time to get all your questions answered.
First up, what is an Esthetician? Simply put, an Esthetician is a licensed skincare professional that studies the skin and performs treatments, and/or gives recommendations, aimed at achieving healthy skin. I’ve been a Licensed Esthetician going on 2 years now, but I’ve been a skin fanatic for as long as I can remember. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to finally take the leap and obtain my license because I’ve been helping people achieve their healthiest skin since!
“Ask the Esti” will be an ongoing editorial series discussing skincare hot topics like seasonal hacks, routine essentials, product do’s and don’ts, treating skin concerns, and much more. I hope at the end of every article you’ll understand the “why” behind the “what” and look forward to what’s coming next. I can’t wait to show you why Healthy Skin Starts Here!
