As we remember the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., our reflection focuses on how we strive to honor the vision of one of history's most committed radicals and much-admired dreamer. In leading our greatest nonviolent movement for racial and economic justice, we remain grateful for Dr. King’s peaceful activism. Through his courageous acts, of resistance and love filled efforts of reconciliation, we have inherited a growing community of so many changemakers and inspired social justice leaders to lead us through our times.
Social change work can be done but unheard, loud but not engaged. However, Youth To The People has always benefitted from the learnings of all nonprofit partners and so many community leaders that advocate on behalf of human rights and human dignity. As we collectively observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we will continue to act in service within our community towards the civil rights advancement for people of color and an equitable future for all.
