Dedcool Founder (+ YTTP Fragrance Collaborator) Carina Chaz Takes the Youth Questionnaire

It’s been two years since a cosmically-aligned thought entered the brain of Carina Chaz, founder of fragrance brand Dedcool.

“Back in 2020, we thought to ourselves, ‘Hey, you know who is really cool [for a collab]? Youth To The People. The crossover couldn't be more clear, and you know what, we’d be lucky to work with them,’” remembers Chaz. So she hit up YTTP co-founders Joe and Greg—and no surprise, they were into the idea.

“They too believed that this would be the launch of everyone's dreams,” she says. And now it’s here; Cosmic Release launches today on youthtothepeople.com.

THE QUESTIONS:

Question 04: When were you recently perfectly content?
At this point in time, I am most content with my phone on DND (do not disturb) and sitting in the garden with my dog. Life seems as though it’s moving 100,000 miles per hour, and taking the time to enjoy the present moment is what keeps me calm, clear, and content.

Question 09: What is your favorite memory in nature?
Growing up, my mom always had me stop to smell the flowers…literally. Stopping me at any shrub on our path. We’d take that moment in time and appreciate the fragrant gifts from our Mother Earth.

Question 12: To you, what is the most soothing sound?
I love the sounds of early mornings. It feels like the only time I have where I am fully alone with my thoughts. My morning sounds usually are chirping birds, the faint sounds of grass being mowed, and flowing leaves in the morning wind—the commotion of everyday life.
