GIVING IMPACT REPORT
4TH QUARTER 2019

Every day, our Giving branch carefully considers requests for donations. We support causes that embody values of inclusivity and non-profits that invest in youth movements, advocacy, and equality. Each quarter, we report the good we’ve done to you.

During the 4th quarter of 2019 we held our first ever holiday pop-up in our headquarters in the Arts District of Los Angeles. Our vegan bodega sold skincare, but our impact went beyond the bottle to benefit two organizations close to our hearts and our LA office. Visitors to the pop-up received a token to vote for one of two organizations. At the end of the pop-up’s run, those tokens were counted.

$2,000 DONATED

The only shelter in Los Angeles focused on assisting women living in homelessness. In addition to our cash donation, our extended family of generous influencers donated 211 pounds of vital personal care items. We also sent along 400 pairs of cozy socks to keep feet dry and warm through the winter.

$3,000 DONATED

A California-based non-profit that helps alleviate one of the most visible signs of poverty in kids. STF pairs donors with children in need of shoes that fit. Our donation purchased 100 pairs of shoes for local elementary school children in need in order to keep them playing.

2019 TOTAL ANNUAL DONATIONS

$133,060.71

The grand total amount that was donated to organizations that use their creative force, activism, and moxie to support women and girls, youth engagement, LGBTQIA+ rights, diverse voices, animal rights, and our planet.

$90,304.89

The total amount of cash donations for from YTTP Giving in 2019.

$42,755.82

The total amount of in-kind (our-vegan + superfood skincare) donations in 2019.

Greg and Joe—and our entire team—are grateful for the opportunity to give. We believe in using our creative force for greater representation, justice, and kindness. The choices we make as manufacturers impact the world beyond our superfood and science-driven formulations that are your skincare ritual. Thank you for helping us make that impact for good.

Thank you for sharing our optimism and hope for the future.

GOOD NEWS

WE BELIEVE ALL SKIN IS NORMAL

Having “normal” skin is an important topic of conversation in skincare, and there hasn’t really been a standard for what that means in the industry.

GTTP PARTNER: A PLACE CALLED HOME

For 25 years, A Place Called Home has provided a safe environment for the kids and teens of South Central Los Angeles—over 1,000 at-risk kids per year.

WHAT SUSTAINABILITY MEANS TO US

We’re disappointed on behalf of ourselves and the next generations to come because it might seem like nothing is enough to reverse the damage.
