“How can you be of service to other people when you’re drained?” asks New York-based skincare enthusiast, Jance Thi Tran. Unwinding is essential for staying grounded, and how we each decide to decompress after a long day (or week or month) is a form of self-care that is very personal. We asked Tran how she approaches self-care, and what pushes her to Dream Beyond while living in a big city and confined to an intimate apartment in the midst of a global pandemic. 

“When I wake up I make sure to do my gratitude journal. It just reminds me how I can easily start my day with some positivity and gratitude,” says Tran. “Keeping a regular skincare routine helps with my overall wellness. I love having structure, so it’s nice having some of that in the midst of all this chaos. When I feel good about my skin, I feel good about myself.”
