Listen, we get it. We make consumer goods within the beauty industry—by our nature, we’re creating waste. So it matters immensely what we’re doing about our impact—lessening the negative, and increasing the positive.
Our impact starts with us—we’re working every day to make the most sustainable choices we can, always seeking to do and be better.
RESPONSIBLE FORMULAS
As a California-based company, we prioritize formulating all of our products in California. That means that when possible, we’re sourcing from local suppliers, too. But always, always, always, our formulas will be vegan, cruelty-free, and made not to cause a negative impact on the environment and our oceans once you rinse your face at the start and end of the day.
Our pledge regarding formulation:
Now and always, our formulas will always be 100% vegan, always made in California, with consciously-sourced ingredients. We’ll continue to work to ensure that our supply chains don’t negatively impact the environment.
GLASS MATTERS
Youth To The People jars and bottles are always glass—it’s part of our effort to reduce the quantity of plastic waste created by the beauty industry. That goes for our deluxe and travel sizes, too.
FSC-CERTIFIED BOXES
Whenever possible, YTTP boxes are made from FSC-certified materials, and we’re proud to use recyclable paper in our secondary packaging. Our FSC-certified printing press is also based in California, continuing our commitment to manufacturing locally.
Our pledge regarding materials:
We are determined to make our packaging fully recyclable—we are on the path to ensuring all of our lids are made from post-consumer recycled plastics (we’ll be 50% to goal by Q3!)
TO THE PLANET FUND
By 2024, our To The Planet Fund will have donated $1 million to nonprofit organizations in the climate space. Our organizational partners center on the girls, women, and communities of color that are most burdened by climate-related catastrophes, on safeguarding our wild spaces and biological diversity, and innovating solutions to climate breakdown.
